Aim: This course is an overview of the development and shaping of social and health insurance in the Slovak Republic and in selected European Union countries and gives a possibility to compare different insurance systems. It focuses on the insurance system of the Slovak Republic and its subsystems, identification of retirement pension saving as part of pension savings schemes and basic actuarial modeling of individual pension schemes.
