Spomienka na prof. Ing. Janu Kučerovú, PhD.

Dňa 19. februára 2022 nás navždy opustila vynikajúca kolegyňa, vysokoškolská pedagogička, znamenitá odborníčka a láskavá priateľka.

I am sad to learn that Jana Kučerová from Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica (Slovakia) passed away. She was a very nice person. We met several times at different places, including during the 69th AIEST conference that took place in Varna in 2019. Jana also co-edited a special issue of the European Journal of Tourism Research on tourism research and education in Central and Eastern Europe (available here https://ejtr.vumk.eu/index.php/about/issue/view/25).

Jana, you are now one with the Force and the Force is with you!

We will always love you!

I was very saddened to hear of Janka’s death. I send my sympathy to all her friends and colleagues.

Janka had always greeted me so well on my visits to Matej Bel. She was a wonderful, enthusiastic lady. I have happy memories of Janka. On one occasion she took me on a great day tour, which included one of the famous wooden churches. On another Janka hosted myself and a colleague, David Fisher (his only visit to Slovakia), on another day tour.

I am sure Janka will be greatly missed at Matej Bel.
