Admission Procedure

The deadline for submitting of the application forms is May 27, 2022 (from April 11, 2022). We require from the applicants Application form + REQUIRED enclosures.

APPLICATION FORM – you can choose one of the following options:

A) Electronic form – you fill it in within the E-Application UMB system  and upload all compulsory enclosures BEFORE you save it. In this case you still have to send by regular mail Verified photocopy of Recognition of the Educational Documents issued by Slovak authority in Slovak language.

2a. Full-time study applicant

  • structured Curriculum Vitae (signed by the applicant),
  • declaration / confirmation of permanent residence in the case of applicants with permanent residence outside the territory of the Slovak Republic,
  • copy of payment receipt proving the fee for application was payed
  • copy of passport (In order to avoid the mistake in your personal data please upload also the scan of your passport, so we can check the correctness of the written data in your Application form.Please check if your personal data in application form (name, date of birth) is identical to the data in your passport.)
  • Notarized copies of documents of the previous education (diploma, certificate of state final exam) – graduates from Matej Bel University need not submit notarized copies. We have to receive NOTARIZED PHOTOCOPY via post office (scan cannot be accepted).
  • Graduates from foreign universities (apart from Czech Republic)  shall submit a copy of recognition of completed education from the Ministry of Ecucation of the SR (Act no. 422/2015 Coll.   • Academic transcript for the whole previous Master study, including the average result for the whole study (the part „Výpis výsledkov“/Academic transcript in the application form is thus not applicable)
  • List of published and non-published papers, reviews of these papers if possible (Bachelor or Diploma work is not applicable)
  • two written recommendations for doctoral study by recognized scientists and educators (Associate Professor, Professor or Doctor – PhD / CSc)
  • written project in the scope of 3 pages to outline the topic of dissertation, in PDF, signed by the supervisor who put up the topic)

2b. Part-time study applicant 

  • structured Curriculum Vitae (signed by the applicant),
  • declaration / confirmation of permanent residence in the case of applicants with permanent residence outside the territory of the Slovak Republic,
  • copy of payment receipt proving the fee for application was payed

B) Paper form – after you fill in the application form, you have to print it out, sign, go to the post office and send it together with all compulsory enclosures.

NEXT STEPS:

  • May 2022 - After the processing the application we will send you either Invitation to the entrance exam or Notice of the waiver of the entrance examination.
  • June 2022 you take the entrance exam (planned date is from June 29 to June 30, 2022)
  • July 2022 we will send you Decision with the Result of admission procedure
  • September 2022 to become a student you must confirm the enrollment for the AY 2022/2023
