Admission Requirements

The entrance exam for the academic year 2023/2024 will take place on 28.30 June 2022.

 

FULL-TIME STUDY ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The entrance exam is combined and consists of the following parts:

a) presentation of the written project of dissertation in English language

b) rationales of the candidate for his/her interest in doctoral study, assessment of his/her aptitude for doctoral study and his/her publication, research and professional activity.

c) avverage education result  of Master study (results from subjects and state exam)

Maximal available total score for full-time study applicant: 100 points

Scoring of the entrance exam of full-time study applicants

PART TIME STUDY ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The entrance exam is combined and consists of the following parts:

a) presentation of the written project of dissertation in English language

b) rationales of the candidate for his/her interest in doctoral study, assessment of his/her aptitude for doctoral study and his/her publication, research and professional activity.

Maximal available total score for full-time study applicant: 90 points

Scoring of the entrance exam of full-time study applicants

Parts of the entrance examination of an applicant for full-time and part-time study are carried out before the examination board in person or at a distance.

The composition of the examination commission for all study programs will be determined by the dean of the faculty on the basis of proposals from the guarantors of individual doctoral study programs. With the consent of the chairman of the commission, a supervisor may be invited to the commission, on the topic of which the candidate has applied.

Examination boards for above mentioned study programmes  are nominated by the dean of the faculty based on the proposal of study programme guarantee, that was discussed and approved by the subject area committee. Supervisor of the topic of dissertation could be invited  to participate  during admission  procedure with the approval of examination boarad chairman.

The applicants will be admitted for study in the order based on the total score in the admission procedure and depending on the planned capacity of a particular study programme and form of study. In case two or more candidates reach the same score, the board will make the decision on the basis of the quality of the written project. Successful applicnats of full-time study will be informed also about training and working place / department of the faculty during the doctoral study.


Students who have completed the previous degree abroad must have the diploma recognised in the Slovak Republic. The admitted students shall submit the document recognising the diploma no later than the day of enrolment.
